LIVE VIDEO STREAMING

In October and November you can watch the Sentient Creatures Lectures through a live video stream. Please check Listings for the complete programme. In about a week afterwards, the streams can be downloaded from the Archive. All videos of broadcasts from the Waag can also be found here. In order to view the broadcast you require the following:

QuickTime Player

Sound card installed in your computer (PC only, Macs already have a sound card on board)

Speakers (either external or built-in) or earphones

WHAT IF STREAMING DOES NOT WORK?

FIRST, DO THIS:
Windows users go to the QuickTime Player window, then choose Edit: Preferences: QuickTime Preferences.
Mac users go to the menu, then choose QuickTime Player: Preferences: QuickTime Preferences: Connection.

THEN:
If you are behind a firewall and can't see anything, go to Streaming Transport (Mac: Transport Setup) and change settings to HTTP, Port 80. Then try again.
Check for the right Connection Speed, depending whether you are using a modem, ADSL or cable connection.
If you feel that speech is lagging behind the video, you can check your 'Instant-On' setting and put the slider more to the 'Immediately' position.
