SENTIENT CREATURES

The SENTIENT CREATURES lecture series took place in October and November 2003 at Waag Society in Amsterdam. There's room for up to 60 people at the Waag. The lectures were also be accessible on the internet via streaming media and are archived on the web. The series featured a series of 9 internationally acclaimed lecturers that spoke about their work in the fields of robotics, consciousness and communication. Canadian artist/inventor Graham Smith hosted the event, which examined issues regarding the possible emergence of robotic life later in the century.
